There will be more jealous Beckett moments in the Castle ep Monday, Linchpin. But that will not further the relationship between Castle and Beckett. Again, like the previous season’s two-parters, the guest star will try and open Beckett’s eyes to Castle and how much he cares for her, and again it will be just more spinning of the wheels.

I can almost write the scene.

The case is closed and Kate Beckett finds herself alone with Sophia Turner, the woman that was once Richard Castle’s muse. The woman Castle had a relationship.

The two women look at each other and it is Sophia who speaks first.

Sophia: Rick told me you were different. I didn’t believe him. But after seeing him with you, I can now. He loves you, Kate. I’m not sure if you see it, but I can. 

Kate only dips her head, her secret that she knows Castle loves her too, weighing even heavier on her almost shattered heart.

Kate: Well, I… Kate begins trying to deny it. Or at least change the subject of the conversation.

Sophia cuts her off.

Sophia: Rick shadowed me for over a year. And yes, we enjoyed each other’s company in many ways. But he was never with me the way he is with you. Don’t let whatever is haunting you, Kate, keep things from happening between you. I think this case has proven how quickly things can be taken away.

They close their conversation and the two women part. Kate Beckett re-joins Richard Castle on the sidewalk.

Castle: Another crisis averted. We should start getting hazard pay.

Beckett: I should get hazard pay, you work for free.

Castle: Yeah, about that…

Beckett: How about we go grab a drink, talk about how we always seem to be saving the city.

Castle: Sounds good.

They turn to head down the sidewalk. Beckett looks up at Castle, a knowing smile. Soon, she thinks to herself. Soon, I will be ready to have it all with this man.
