Why? Three words or names - Olivia, Peter and Walter…

The last two episodes have focused mostly on the case and the core three characters. Sure there was some Astrid, Broyles and Lincoln (I shake my head as to why he is scene sucking eps) but for the most part the show has centered around Olivia, Peter and Walter.

The last two episodes were typical Fringe mind-blowing but the show wasn’t muddled with balancing a second universe and dueling characters. It was simple, back to basics and solidly written.

All of these fancy twists and alternate universe hopping has only manged to suck the life out of Fringe. I didn’t find Fringe, and invest all my time catching up, to waste my time on alternate versions, and less interesting versions at that, of the characters I fell in love with.

I came on board for the stories, for the intense drama and to watch an emotionally challenged character like Olivia Dunham find her place in the world and also find a way to open her heart for someone.

So, I am hoping this Fringe trend continues and keeps me looking forward to Fringe Fridays, instead of cringing at scene suckers who suck up precious Fringe screen time.
