Blueaeryn's World
My very first post on Tumblr is this video from season three of Fringe. It is one of the most heartbreaking and powerful scenes of season three. This show is amazing and mind-blowing and Anna Torv deserves and Emmy.

Love this scene from season three. It is after Olivia makes it back from the alt-universe. And we really see her growth, opening up herself to Peter.
I never noticed how very similar three of my current fave female Sci-Fi characters are. Take the three women below. Olivia Dunahm from Fringe, Aeryn Sun from Farscape and Jo Lupo from Eureka.

All three served time in the military, Olivia in the Marines, Aeryn was a Peacekeeper and Jo was in the Army. All three are emotionally guarded, had very little experience with love and are straight-up bad asses. It wasn’t until they met these three guys below that they discovered what love truly was, because these guys believed in them.

Peter Bishop has been so patient and loving with Olivia. John Crichton stuck with Aeryn all through her growth and really showed her how to love. Zane Donovan went from reckless bad-boy to model citizen for his law enforcement girlfriend Jo. Ironically, all three of these guys are scientists.
This is probably one of the BEST videos about Olivia Dunham of Fringe. She really is a BAMF
This video is probably my second fave about Olivia Dunham of Fringe. I can never understand why someone would say they don’t like this character. She is loyal, she never quits, never fails and is so raw. At times she is so awkward and unsure, but at the same time she is such a bad-ass. One of the BEST female characters on TV right now.
Walter Bishop (Fringe)

This video absolutely NAILS!!! Olivia Dunham’s psyche and inner turmoil. She is f’ing perfect as the song says.
I loved the peek into the Fringe future in the season three finale. And the love, respect and support Peter and Olivia displayed with each other totally nullifies all these show-runners fear that the two leads getting together kills a show. It was so refreshing seeing a couple written with love and maturity.
The one part of the future I hope is changed for Peter and Olivia, besides both worlds being torn apart, is that Olivia will feel the world is safe enough for she and Peter to have a child. To see them look at that child’s drawing on the fridge and know it wasn’t from their child broke my heart.
It is a true testament to the outstanding work by Anna Torv in season three of Fringe that I can completely adore Olivia Dunham, express great hatred for Alt-Olivia and they are both played by the same person. The subtle differences, the way Anna plays Alt-Olivia so cocky and self-assured is so different from our Olivia, who is a total bad-ass, but at times lacks self-assurance.
ANNA TORV DESERVES AN EMMY!!
