This is probably one of the BEST videos about Olivia Dunham of Fringe. She really is a BAMF

This video is probably my second fave about Olivia Dunham of Fringe. I can never understand why someone would say they don’t like this character. She is loyal, she never quits, never fails and is so raw. At times she is so awkward and unsure, but at the same time she is such a bad-ass. One of the BEST female characters on TV right now.

This video absolutely NAILS!!! Olivia Dunham’s psyche and inner turmoil. She is f’ing perfect as the song says.

I loved the peek into the Fringe future in the season three finale. And the love, respect and support Peter and Olivia displayed with each other totally nullifies all these show-runners fear that the two leads getting together kills a show. It was so refreshing seeing a couple written with love and maturity.
The one part of the future I hope is changed for Peter and Olivia, besides both worlds being torn apart, is that Olivia will feel the world is safe enough for she and Peter to have a child. To see them look at that child’s drawing on the fridge and know it wasn’t from their child broke my heart.

It is a true testament to the outstanding work by Anna Torv in season three of Fringe that I can completely adore Olivia Dunham, express great hatred for Alt-Olivia and they are both played by the same person. The subtle differences, the way Anna plays Alt-Olivia so cocky and self-assured is so different from our Olivia, who is a total bad-ass, but at times lacks self-assurance.

ANNA TORV DESERVES AN EMMY!!

I just love these handful of season two episodes when Olivia is getting over her injuries. From how Olivia doesn’t let the cane and her injuries hamper her in doing her job, to how she weathers the effects she starts feeling from crossing over. I like how subtle the writers are about her injuries.

The audience sees Olivia on her cane, and the scrapes on her face, but don’t really SEE how bad the accident was on her until she is putting her shirt back on in the doctor’s office.

And of course, the scenes with Sam Weiss and how he helps her.

Oh, and during her injury, it is one of just a few times we see Peter driving. HA!

This is a great Peter and Olivia video from Fringe. All I ask from the writers, in season four, is to not erase all this beautiful history between these two.

As I am setting up my Fringe re-watch, I am in season one, I find it interesting that this episode Brown Betty, just seems to fit flawlessly in season two. Plus, there are two great things I like about it.

1. We get to hear Anna Torv sing

Brown Betty

2. Walter’s story to young Ella that created “Brown Betty” storyline was referenced in the season 3 finale. In the Brown Betty finale, Ella said Walter had to change the ending because a story deserves a happy ending. In the season three finale, adult Ella shows how the world has jaded her by saying there are no happy endings.

Okay, the producers tried to explain the Fringe aftermath to me, but after watching my head hurts.

Peter sacrficed himself and now doesn’t exist, we will se a shift in what we know about Fringe and we are entering a new chapter.

I suppose they will have the two Olivia’s working together when all I wanted was for our Olivia to bitch-slap Alt-Olivia. Guess I won’t be getting that in season four.

So, for a consolation prize, can we change the past enough so that stupid baby Alt-Olivia had doesn’t exist. That definetly was a bad ploltline.

I have to admit, I am not a homerun out of the park fan of Peter. But, like most strong female heroines I like, I have this mentality - if this is the guy she wants, I will support her.

I loved this scene in the season two finale because it is one of the first times we see Olivia put herself out there and truly open up.

However, Peter is jaded for me after the first few episodes of season three. There were such subtle differences in Olivia, how could he not tell that this imposter, Alt-Olivia, wasn’t Olivia. But instead of seeing it, he was all wrapped up in this lighter, looser Olivia.
